Membership FAQs
How do I cancel my membership?

As per our Terms and Conditions, we require 30 days’ notice in writing to cancel a membership, please email: membership@activetameside.com with your full name, membership number and date of birth.

Can I freeze my membership?

You can freeze your membership between 1-6 months for a charge of £5.00 per frozen month. Please email: membership@activetameside.com with your freeze request, including your full name, membership number and date of birth. Please also advise the reason for freezing your membership and how many months you would like it to be frozen for.

I can’t join on the website, how do I join?

We’re sorry to hear you are having problems. You can sign up in centre at reception – you do not need an appointment to do this.

I’m trying to sign up, but it says that my email address is already in use – what should I do?

Please visit: tameside.legendonlineservices.co.uk/enterprise/join/ and sign up to be casual user, or to purchase a membership. If you are still having problems, please email: membership@activetameside.com.

Swimming FAQs
Can I turn just up for a General Swim?

You do not need to book for these sessions, you can just turn up. Please check our timetable here.

What age are swimming lessons suitable for?

Ducklings are for ages 0-5 years, Little Ducks are for 3-5 years and our mainstream Swim School lessons are for ages 4 years and above.

Do your Swim School lessons run through the holidays?

They swim all year round same day and time each week apart from 2 weeks over Christmas & New year and if their lessons fall on a bank holiday when we don’t run lessons. We run swimming lessons across our Active centres everyday after school and 9-2pm on weekends.

Do you do adult swimming lessons?

How much do swimming lessons cost?

£5.90 per lesson, which can be paid monthly (£24.50 per month by direct debit).

 

Gym FAQs
What should I wear to the gym?

Wear light, comfortable clothing that’s breathable and allows you to move freely. Please ensure that your choice of clothing doesn’t make other members feel uncomfortable. Members cannot work out topless and closed-toe shoes (cross trainers or running shoes) must be worn in the gym at all times.

Will there be any support to help me get started?

Of course! We offer as much or as little support as our members need. All new joiners are entitled to a free Gym Induction session, which you can book online here.

I’m a carer for a member – am I able to attend with them?

Yes. Please visit one of our centres and fill in a Carers Pass Application Form at reception. You must also provide official proof that you are a carer for the member (i.e. a letter from the appropriate governing body) and photo ID (i.e. ID badge or driving licence).

Please note that your membership can only be used to assist the member that you are caring for and this will be monitored in centre.
