The post will assist in ensuring an efficient and effective service in relation to the delivery of high quality Swimming Lessons as part of School Lessons/Private Lesson. The post holder will undertake preparation, planning and evaluation of activity reporting to the Service Development Officer. The post holder will contribute significantly towards delivering customer service excellence and ensuring users continue to access services.

You will be responsible for delivering private swimming lessons as part of the swimming instruction programme and maintenance of records and supervising customers using the pool.

As a minimum requirement, you will hold the ASA Swimming Teachers Certificate Level 2/1 and a current RLSS Pool Lifeguard Foundation Module (8th) Edition.

Activity Coach – Bikeability

Bikeability is ‘cycling proficiency’ for the 21st century, designed to give the next generation the skills and confidence to ride their bikes on today’s roads.

Active Tameside require national standard instructors to work on the Bikeability program form March 7th 2015 until 24th July 2015 (Term Time Only), hours will be twenty hours per week usually Monday –Thursday and when required occasional Fridays

The main functions of the roles are to work closely with the Senior Instructors and the Bikeability Officer to deliver high quality practical training within the school premises and in the trafficked road environment.

The scheme delivers road safety training at level 1 & 2 to Tameside primary schools all candidates must be available to work Monday – Friday from 9.00am – 3.15pm

In addition this officer will lead a team of Specialist Lifestyle Advisors to work with referred clients and be responsible for growing and achieving positive health outcomes for residents within Tameside.

You will be a highly skilled individual with wide experience of working with specialist and at times complex populations and will hold a minimum of REPS level 4 qualification.  Strong communication skills and customer relations are essential plus the ability to motivate and inspire a team to deliver results.

This team of specialists will be able to form sound relationships with GP’s and Health Care professionals in addition to building a strong rapport with patients referred into the service.  They will be highly skilled in delivering individual and group based interventions, the post holder will be experienced in adapting their techniques to meet the needs of the clients.

The post holders will be highly experienced in working with patients with complex medical conditions.  Achieving long lasting behaviour change through utilising techniques such as motivational interviewing within consultation in order to achieve positive, lasting health outcomes for residents within Tameside.

Active Tameside require a qualified sports coach (NGB Level 2) to deliver PE and Sports sessions, predominately in Tameside primary schools, as part of the Tameside Coaches in Schools Programme. The scheme operates in over 60 primary schools and has been established for over 17 years. The post holder will be responsible for the planning, delivery and evaluation of national curriculum lessons and after school clubs.
