Casual Activity Coach – Gymnastics

Salary £7.55 per hour for Level 1 and £8.79 per hour for Level 2

We are looking to recruit Casual Gymnastics Coaches, with experience of coaching children from age 5 to 17, to join our team. You will be a qualified Club Coach or Assistant Club Coach (General Gymnastics). Qualifications in Pre School Gymnastics would be advantageous. Your role will include the provision of high quality structured coaching sessions and assisting in the promotion of the Active Tameside Gymnastics Scheme. You will need excellent customer care / communication skills, a welcoming, helpful manner and proactive approach to service improvement. We can offer you the opportunity to play a major role in the provision of an excellent service. On going training and development will be provided.

Activity Coach – Bikeability

Salary £16969.36 p.a. pro rata for part time

Bikeability is ‘cycling proficiency’ for the 21st century, designed to give the next generation the skills and confidence to ride their bikes on today’s roads.  Tameside Sports Trust require ten national standard instructors to work on the Bikeability program form March 7th 2015 until 26th November 2015 (Term Time Only), hours will be twenty hours per week usually Monday –Thursday and when required occasional Fridays.  The main functions of the roles are to work closely with the Senior Instructors and the Bikeability Officer to deliver high quality practical training within the school premises and in the trafficked road environment.  The scheme delivers road safety training at level 1 & 2 to Tameside primary schools all candidates must be available to work Monday – Friday from 9.00am – 3.15pm.  Successful candidates will be put on the National Standard instructor course to be held in Tameside on the  2ND March, 3rd March, 4th March, 5th March 2015  9.00am -5.00pm.  Once qualified you will be placed with experienced instructors to deliver the program within local primary schools.

Ideally candidates should have some experience of working with primary school aged children and be confident bike riders themselves, you must also possess good organisational and communication skills
