Active Tameside shortlisted for UK Active Training Award
Active Tameside has been shortlisted for the ‘Transformational Leadership of the Year’ award at the UK Active ‘Active Training Awards 2017’. The Awards, delivered in partnership with the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA), will take place in Reading on 30th November, where the winners of each category will be revealed.
The Active Training Awards celebrates and rewards training providers and employers who lead the way in their approach to learning and development. The Awards finalists have all demonstrated exceptional quality and clear commitment to their workforce development strategies. All shortlisted nominees will undergo one final stage of assessment before the Awards night, where the outstanding winners will be announced for each category.
Transformational Leadership of the Year
The ‘Transformational Leadership of the Year’ category recognises a high-performing management team that can demonstrate how they have overcome a significant organisational challenge through a combination of effective strategy, staff development and inspirational leadership. The team should have worked with colleagues and partners to develop skills, whilst delivering tangible strategies and goals through motivational leadership.
Jenny Patrickson, Managing Director at Active IQ, the main Awards sponsor, said: ‘The Active Training Awards is the pinnacle event to demonstrate best practice across all areas of learning and development. We are looking forward to seeing who comes out on top from a truly excellent list of finalists.’
