Information for existing members

Please note that you will ONLY BE ABLE TO VISIT our centres if you have PRE-BOOKED your session/s before you arrive.

You can book a lane swim, gym session or class via our app or website, or by phone.

We strongly encourage the use of contactless payment.

Please turn up ready-dressed for your gym session, group exercise class or lane swim.

 

Changes to membership prices and contracts

  • We automatically removed ALL 12-month direct debit contracts from 1st August 2020.
  • All existing non-contract memberships were automatically moved to the price of the 12-month direct debit equivalent.
  • Any new memberships will be non-contracted 30-day rolling agreements, in line with the existing 12-month contract prices.

Changing rooms

  • Changing rooms are NOT be available for gym or studio use, however toilets are available.
  • Changing rooms are open for lane swimmers, with alternate showers available for rinsing only.

 

How to register for an online account, to be able to make a booking

If you have a membership with us or have recently joined as a casual and you are looking to gain access to your online account in order to make bookings, please visit: https://tameside.legendonlineservices.co.uk/enterprise/account/login

Once you have reached this page, please follow the steps below:

  • Click on the ‘register’ button
  • Enter the email address you gave when you signed up (if you didn’t, then please provide one of your choice)
  • Create and enter your new password, confirm the password and then read/accept our Terms and Conditions
  • Shortly after this, you will receive an email to complete your registration – simply click on the link provided in the registration
  • This will take you to a final step to complete your registration – you will need to complete the following details and they must match the information provided upon signing up:
    • Membership number (e.g. – ASH00001)
    • Postcode
    • Date of birth
    • Phone number
  • You will then need to click ‘complete registration’

Please see below for error messages that you may receive:

  • ‘Your email address is already registered to an account’ – this will be because you already have an online account, so you just need to follow the ‘reset password’ procedure
  • ‘The information you provided is incorrect’ (e.g. incorrect contact number) – please contact membership@activetameside.com for further support with this

Maximum number of sessions you can book per week

You will be able to book a maximum of:

  • 7 gym sessions per week
  • 7 lane swims per week
  • 7 group exercise classes per week

This equates to a maximum total of 21 sessions per week.

 

Information about Active Oxford Park

Active Oxford Park is currently only open to Live Active members.

 

Information about group exercises classes at Active Ken Ward

  • There are currently no group exercises classes being held at Active Ken Ward.
  • You are able to access group exercise classes at our other centres, with the exception of Active Oxford Park and Active iTrain.

 

Important information for site-specific Gym Only members at Active Oxford Park, Active Medlock or Active Ken Ward

  • Active Oxford Park Gym Only memberships have been upgraded to allow access to other Active Tameside gyms at no extra cost, with the exception of Active iTrain.
  • Active Medlock Gym Only memberships have been upgraded to allow access to other Active Tameside gyms at no extra cost, with the exception of Active iTrain.
  • Active Ken Ward Gym Only memberships have been upgraded to allow access to other Active Tameside gyms at no extra cost, with the exception of Active iTrain.

 

What happens if your membership includes thermal suite access (sauna and steam room)?

  • All direct debit memberships with sauna and steam room access have been temporarily discounted (moved to the lower equivalent membership price), due to thermal suites being closed.
  • Once the thermal suites reopen, membership prices will revert back to reflect this.

 

Important information for site-specific Active Dual or Active Triple members

If you have a site-specific Active Dual or Active Triple membership, we have automatically upgraded your access to all Active Tameside gyms that are open to the public, excluding Active iTrain.

 

Active iTrain access information for Active Premier and Active Corporate members

If you have an Active Premier or Active Corporate membership, you have access to all Active Tameside gyms that are open to the public, including Active iTrain. If you have not already set up your fingerprint access to be able to use iTrain, please email: hello@activetameside.com with your membership details to request your PIN.

 

Information for Active Gym and Active Swim members

  • If you have an Active Gym membership, this remains centre-specific, unless your specified centre is Active Medlock, Active Oxford Park or Active Ken Ward.
  • If you have an Active Swim membership, this remains centre-specific, unless your specified centre is Active Medlock and Active Hyde.

 

Information for Active Junior and Active Teen Triple members

  • If you have an Active Junior or Active Teen Triple membership, we have automatically upgraded your access to all Active Tameside gyms that are open to the public, excluding Active iTrain.
  • We have also temporarily increased your gym access times to: 12pm – 8pm from Monday – Friday and 12pm – 4pm on Saturday & Sunday, with the exception of Active Medlock.

 

Information for Active Plus Off Peak members

If you have an Active Plus Off Peak membership, we have automatically upgraded your access to all Active Tameside gyms that are open to the public, excluding Active iTrain.

 

Information for Attractions Annual Pass holders

  • All Attractions Annual Passes have been temporarily frozen until our attractions reopen.
  • Once our attractions reopen, the expiry date of your Attractions Annual Pass will be extended by the amount of time from when we closed our centres, due to Covid-19, to the time that our attractions reopen.

 

Information for Swimming Lessons and Gymnastics customers

  • All gymnastics and swimming lessons are suspended until further notice.
  • If you pay by direct debit, it will remain frozen until further notice.
