Active Youth Membership

Free fitness membership for young people in Tameside

Our fully funded Active Youth Membership, in partnership with TMBC and funded through HAF, is exclusively available to eligible young people aged 13–17 in Tameside, and includes free access to Active Tameside’s facilities, including:

Gyms
Group exercise classes
Swimming pools
Community and attractions sessions

All Active Youth Members must be referred by one of our partner organisations.

Active Youth Memberships are only available if you are entitled to benefit-related Free School Meals.
Membership can only be accessed via a referral from one of our relevant partners to teenfit@activetameside.com
Membership will be valid from 1st August 2025 with the end date for all Active Youth memberships being 30th November 2025
All Active Youth members must complete a PAR-Q on their first visit to centre – with parent / guardian present
Active Junior access times apply to 13-15-year-olds
Active Teen Triple access times apply to 16-17-year-olds
All Active Youth members must have an induction
The Active Youth Membership does not apply to Active iTrain, Active Ken Ward, or Active Oxford Park
The Active Youth Membership is single site only
