Active Junior

£14.50 per month

This package has been designed to suit our junior Active members. Swim only is available for ages 5+ and Gym & Swim is available for ages 13-15 years.

Active Teen Triple

£19.99 per month

This package has been designed to suit our teen Active members aged 16-17 years.

*Active Teen Triple access days and times: Mondays – Fridays from 12pm – 8pm (excluding Active Medlock, which is 3.45pm – 8pm) and weekends from 10am – 4pm. This includes gym access, group exercise classes and any ‘General Swim’ sessions.

Active Student

£25.50 per month

Includes gym, General Swim sessions, spa and classes at a centre of your choice (facilities differ between sites). Student I.D. is required in centre to sign up.

Active Corporate

£31.50 per month

Includes gym, classes, General Swim sessions, spa and exclusive Les Mills virtual classes on our app. Proof of employment with one of our corporate partners is required in centre to join.

If you want to ‘pay as you go’ for any fitness classes or activities, you will need to sign up for a casual membership and create an account before you can book sessions.

Active Champions

What is an Active Champion?

Active Tameside’s ‘Active Champions’ programme offers international sports performers, who are either a Tameside resident or member of a Tameside sports club, the chance to complement their sports-specific training through the use of gyms and swimming pools in Tameside, with a 12 month complementary membership.

How do I cancel my membership?

As per our Terms and Conditions, we require 30 days’ notice in writing to cancel a membership, please email: membership@activetameside.com with your full name, membership number and date of birth.

Can I freeze my membership?

You can freeze your membership between 1-6 months for a charge of £5.00 per frozen month. Please email: membership@activetameside.com with your freeze request, including your full name, membership number and date of birth. Please also advise the reason for freezing your membership and how many months you would like it to be frozen for.

I can't join on the website, how do I join?

Sorry to hear you are having problems. You can sign up in centre at reception – you do not need an appointment to do this.

I’m trying to sign up, but it says that my email address is already in use – what should I do?

Please visit: https://tameside.legendonlineservices.co.uk/enterprise/join/ and sign up to be casual user, or to purchase a membership. If you are still having problems, please email: membership@activetameside.com.

What is an ‘Active Pass’ and how do I get one?

Active Passes are £3.15 per year and give you discount on various activities. They can be purchased in centre.

What is an ‘Active Plus Pass’ and how do I get one?

Our Active Plus Pass can be applied for in centre; it is available to the following people:

  • Senior Citizen (60 years+) – proof of age at the time must be shown.
  • Benefits – proof of receipt of benefits at the time must be shown.
Does Active iTrain do a Corporate membership?

Active Tameside has a Corporate membership, which includes access to Active iTrain and all other Active Tameside sites. To sign up for a Corporate membership, you will just need to come into centre with a valid ID badge or wage slip. If you require any further information, please email: membership@activetameside.com.

Will there be any support to help me get started in the gym?

Of course! We offer as much or as little support as our members need. All new joiners are entitled to a free Gym Induction session, which you can book online here.

I’m a carer for a member – am I able to attend with them?

Yes. Please fill in a Carers Pass Application Form and bring it to reception at one of our centres. You must also provide official proof that you are a carer for the member (i.e. a letter from the appropriate governing body) and photo ID (i.e. ID badge or driving licence).

Please note that your membership can only be used to assist the member that you are caring for and this will be monitored in centre.

Are classes included in my Active iTrain membership?

Yes, all classes are included with Active iTrain membership.

I am an Active Premier member. How do I get access to Active iTrain?

Please email: hello@activetameside.com and include your membership number, full name and email address.

How do I access the 24-hour gym at Tameside Wellness Centre in Denton?

Once you have signed up, come to the centre during our normal opening hours and register your fingerprint (24-hour access excludes Live Active members and juniors).

Are there any costs other than the membership fee?

There is a one-off joining fee, which varies per club. Your Membership Team will let you know what this is. Other than that, the only other costs are for additional services, such as personal training.

What should I wear to the gym?

Wear light, comfortable clothing that’s breathable and allows you to move freely. Please ensure that your choice of clothing doesn’t make other members feel uncomfortable. Members cannot work out topless and closed-toe shoes (cross trainers or running shoes) must be worn in the gym at all times.

Do I need to bring anything with me when I join?

We’ll need proof of identity (driver’s licence or passport) and proof of your banking details (bank statement or electronic pay slip). If you’re a corporate member, please bring some corporate I.D. as well.

iTrain Membership Terms and Conditions

Before you sign up for an iTrain membership, please make sure you carefully read the following terms and conditions:

Upon signing up, your first/initial payment will include your joining fee and your first month up front, collected by Stripe. Your direct debit will be collected around 30 days after you join. This will be collected by Harlands, who will collect your direct debit on our behalf. You can contact Harlands regarding any enquiry around your direct debit collections on: 01444 449 156.
