Our discounts

The Active Plus Pass offers a discounted rate for a variety of activities, from your first workout to trying a new racket sport. All these rates can be found on our pricing page, our team are always available if you have any queries.

To sign up, all you need to do is visit your nearest centre and bring the appropriate supporting documentation, in order to confirm eligibility for the discount. You can find what verification you need to provide in the bands displayed below.

For individuals committed to regular participation, discounted memberships are available on a monthly or annual basis. To visit our membership page and find what suits you, click here.

Eligibility

Does not expire:

State Pension age: Driving licence or passport
UK Armed Forces Veteran: Proof of service (e.g., Veteran’s ID card)

Requires periodic verification:

Under 19 years of age: Passport, birth certificate, igo/our pass card
In full-time education under 24: Student ID card with photo or enrolment letter
Holds a current Asylum Registration Card: Asylum registration card
Care leaver under 25: letter from the local authority
Incapacity Benefit: Recent benefit letter
Housing Benefit: Most recent benefit letter
Employment Support Allowance (ESA): Recent ESA letter
Job Seeker’s Allowance (JSA): Recent JSA letter
GP Referral: Referral letter from Active Tameside Live Active Team
Registered Disabled: Disability documentation (e.g., Blue Badge or DLA/PIP letter)
Council Tax Benefit: Most recent council tax benefit letter (note: single occupancy reductions do not apply)
